Our Mother, Jennifer Ames

We feel that our mother, Jennifer Ames, was the best role model a daughter could ask for. She exemplified dedication and hard work, while showing us how one can live life fully with compassion and grace. Jennifer began her career as a Special Education Teacher and then advanced to serve as Director of Special Education. She played an active role in the wider community and provided visual supports and modifications for children with special needs at the local zoo and children’s museum. Her advocacy and compassion for children with special needs and their families truly inspired us.

We see EarlyVention as a natural extension of our upbringing. Our dedication and passion inherited from our mother is the fuel that will help us create a broad and lasting impact for the families we serve. 

Jennifer tragically passed away from cancer in March 2010, two short months after she was diagnosed. She will forever be missed and always be in our hearts and minds.
